BICOASTAL, TRICOASTAL OR FLIGHT ATTENDANT?
I mean what’s the right term to use for living in 3 different states at any given time in one month? That is currently the life I’m living.
So … let’s say for the first two weeks of the month I’m in LA working. Once I’m done with those two weeks I’ll have maybe if I’m lucky an entire weekend off in Michigan. I take that time to hit yoga and try to visit my friends. The task of seeing my friends is prob the hardest one to complete because as we are all adults now, it seems to be a little bit harder to make plans and dare to actually stick with them. So, after my weekend is up I’m either heading back to LA or off to MSP (Minneapolis) which I’m sure half of my following on social media believes I live there. In all actuality - I don’t - lol.
Now with all this constant travel, I bet you’re wondering “how do you even keep a routine, pack all these clothes, and prepare your pills?” Trust me I wonder the same things all the time. Below are the areas it would be nice to get a routine together - let a sis know what works for you.
Let’s start with “Weightloss - Being the Healthiest Me I can Be”
Yes. I need to prob lose over 30 lbs but forcing myself to go to a gym makes me want to cry! Especially, if I’m just getting home after work at about 7 p.m. or have an early showtime. All I want to do is either drink a nice glass of red wine, so I can unwind and catch up on my shows! Or at LEAST make sure I am getting 8 hours of sleep - sleep means everything to me now!
Now when it comes to managing my food -whether it is to trying to be vegan or just be healthy in general - the struggle is real!!!!! Especially if I’m headed to LA - because, for one, I can’t pack food in advance, it will all just spoil so I am literally eating out everywhere I land. Now, I do try and pick healthy options or hopefully my good friend Arti is making a nice home cooked meal. Literally I told her once “All I want from you is a good drink, a nice cooked meal and some quality time” - Haha and she in fact makes it happen! Grateful.
Ok. Packing.
Whew child! As a flight attendant you would think I have this down packed (get it? lol) and I’m sorry to say I do not! I can’t even tell you how many things I have left in hotel rooms or lost on my travels! I mean it ranges from clothes, electronics, passports, work badges etc. I try now to pack one good outfit, plus a throw on outfit, gym clothes, gym shoes, swim suit (because you never know where you might end up) and maybe sandals depending on the destination. Thank God, in MSP, I can leave my workout clothes in the storage room office. So that helps with my load. I also pack two weeks worth of my pills assuming I’ll be able to make it back to Michigan to re-up again. With that! So far so good! But I’m still learning the minimalist way to pack. HELP!
Soooo, I’m currently in that part of my life where I need a little bit of structure. More so for my health. Just to make sure I’m getting all the true nutrients I need, to keep this Lupus at bay. (Update on that - I’m in remission and have about another 2 years on my pills so let’s all pray.) I would love to be based where I lived because flying back and forth is getting old honey. But on the other hand I wouldn’t give this lifestyle up! These benefits are just tooo good to give up!
Once a Flight Attendant always a Flight attendant!
xoxo
