Pills, Pills AND Yes ... More Pills
When I was first diagnosed with Lupus and Rheumatoid arthritis … wait, did I mention this before??? If not … we have no secrets between us, so, yes … yes, I am diagnosed with both (fun times) and I see two different doctors a Rheumatologist and Nephrologist.
Both doctors prescribed me with meds that will work well together to fight the Lupus.
To share some of the prescriptions I’m on … in the very beginning it was:
Nephrologist prescribed me with: Iron Pill, Lisinopril (for blood pressure) and Vitamin D3
Rheumatologist prescribed me with: Prednisone (steroid), Prilosec, Cellcept, Plaquenill and Drisdol
As of 2018 I am currently on the following:
Nephrologist prescribed me with: Iron Pill, Lisinopril (for blood pressure) - I should be off of this soon and Vitamin D3
Rheumatologist prescribed me with: Cellcept and Plaquenill
See how God works!? My meds are slowly yet surely declining!!!
I also started taking some natural herbs and beneficial oils myself after some research:
Fish Oil: Helps With Inflammation
Soursop Leaves: Treats Rheumatism, boosts the immune system, and prevents infections. I use it as a tea I drink two cups every morning.
Irish Seamoss: Helps With Inflammation and A LOT of other benefits. Seamoss has a very strong fish/sea smell so I take it as capsules.
Ok, so with this long list you might be wondering what my daily routine is …
In the morning, I take:
2 Seamoss Capsules
1 Iron Pill
3 Cellcepts
1 Vitamin D3
1 Multi-Vitamin
1 and 1/2 Plaquenill
In the evening, I take:
2 Seamoss Capsules
3 Cellcepts
1 Blood Pressure Pill
1 Fish Oil Pill
In a year or two hopefully I’ll be able to be on smaller doses or no meds at all. I strongly believe all diseases are curable even if they claim they are not. The natural way is key! AND of course plenty of water! My Kidney doctor told me I should be at least drinking 3 liters a day. (Yikes!)
I would also like to note, I didn’t have side effects with any of these meds. I would more-so say my menstrual cycle was more so affected. (Go figure)
Note: I fill all these prescriptions at CVS and via Optumrx and Briovarx.
