Do. It.
Basically my creative juices have not been flowing with my blog and I semi-knew this would happen … but life also happens.
We all get consumed with the every day 9-5 ... well in my life that’s a different time frame, but same concept!
I felt I needed to write something to encourage all women to go get themselves checked out! I have had too many friends/associates hit my DM saying they are afraid to go see a doctor and they know for sure something is wrong. Listen - this same time last year, I was coming down with pneumonia and knew something was for sure wrong but I was trying to fight every symptom. The evening of Thanksgiving I couldn’t even eat my food (and if you know me you know something had to be wrong). If it wasn’t for my sister, I would probably be down under.
Whether you think it’s something or isn’t something - you need to GO! If I would of waited any longer with the symptoms I was feeling, I could be in an even worse place. I literally laid there that morning like wait - something is not right and I went straight there! They doctors told me “good thing you came in when you did this could be worse and most people wait until the end.”
Did you know there are 16,000 cases of Lupus per year!? 10-15 people will die prematurely due to complications of Lupus. However, due to early detection 85-90% have a longer lifespan. That’s just info on Lupus - imagine what an early detection can do for someone with cancer or any other disease.
If you are reading this and scared to know your outcome just know I’ve been in your shoes and knew for a fact my life was over. But I am truly blessed to have caught on to my symptoms early and handled my diagnosis with a grain of salt. No, everyday isn’t easy even though I have it under control. I still have days were I feel restless or just want to be left alone. But everyday is a new day to fight! I’m here to fight for you! If you want me to go with you I would be more than happy to! Don’t be afraid to continue to reach out if anyone understands it will be me!
Xoxo,
